No part reaches the car without passing through Quality Inspection first — and that decision starts with you. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will measure and check parts against spec using the full range of metrology tools and methods, giving our designers and manufacturers confidence that what leaves quality has met the standard the car needs.
This role operates on a weekend shift, Friday to Sunday, 06:30–18:30 (part time).
What you’ll be doing
- Applying your knowledge of manufacturing technologies to inspect metallic components, predominantly machined parts.
- Using a wide range of metrology tools and methods: visual inspection, hand tools, CMM programming and operation, Absolute/Romer arm probing and scanning, shadowgraphs, surface testers and contour tracing machines.
- Ensuring parts are inspected and processed within required time periods.
- Reporting pertinent information clearly to designers, manufacturers and the wider team.
- Working proactively with a continuous improvement mindset, operating with minimum supervision.
- Flexing to support composite quality control when required.
What you’ll bring
- A recognised apprenticeship or relevant experience in a similar inspection environment.
- Strong GD&T understanding; previous Polyworks experience is extremely advantageous.
- The ability to complete routine and complex inspection processes using a variety of tools.
- Strong knowledge of components made from metals, plastics and carbon fibre composites.
- The confidence to independently draw meaningful conclusions on part quality, keeping data accurate and up to date.
