Trackside Aerodynamics Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Aerodynamics Performance Group in our highly successful Formula One team. This opportunity, based at our Milton Keynes Campus, primarily involves supporting our Race and Aerodynamics Teams through the analysis of Track, Wind Tunnel and CFD data, with regular attendance at the track for race and test events.

Your impact

• Support the development of new aerodynamic analysis tools and performance methodologies.
• Provide trackside engineering support at race and test events, including pre-event aerodynamic setup optimisation.
• Manage and validate aerodynamic datasets and deliver real-time performance analysis.
• Maintain the highest standards of aerodynamic quality and measurement accuracy throughout each event.

What we look for

• Extensive experience working within Formula One, with exposure to both Wind Tunnel and CFD development; prior Aero Development and Aero Performance experience is a distinct advantage.
• An Engineering degree with a specialisation in Aerodynamics.
• A thorough understanding of aerodynamic principles and their application to Formula One.
• Extensive experience with data analysis tools and techniques, with a focus on correlation between environments.
• Good understanding of numerical modelling techniques and experience handling large, complex datasets.
• Experience with the practicalities of on-car aerodynamic measurement systems and maintaining high standards of aerodynamic component quality.
• An aptitude for problem-solving, a flexible approach, and the ability to deliver results under pressure to tight deadlines.
