CAM Programming Leader

As the CAM Programming Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the CAM programming operations, leading a team of programmers, and ensuring that CNC machines are efficiently utilised to meet production goals. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to develop innovative solutions for manufacturing processes.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage a team of CAM programmers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Develop, optimise and validate CNC programs for complex components, primarily for 5-axis milling machines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse designs and improve manufacturability.
• Implement and maintain programming standards and processes for the machine shop.
• Conduct toolpath simulations and implement improvements based on performance metrics.
• Focus on continuous improvement initiatives related to CAM processes and machining workflows.

What we need from you

• Proven experience as a CAM Programmer within a motorsport or high-performance engineering environment.
• Expert knowledge of CAM software, especially HyperMill, with a strong background in CNC programming.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling and work holding designed to optimise efficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools and relevant CAM software, and commitment to promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
