Atlassian Williams Formula 1 Team
Role purpose: To assemble, service and sign-off cars and assemblies required for the running of race cars, and provide support to the race team as and when required.
Main duties
- Undertake international travel to race and test events, providing hands-on support for car build, turnaround and trackside operations.
- Build, strip and service cars and all associated components, ensuring competitiveness, safety and reliability to Engineering and Manufacturing policies.
- Execute tasks as directed by the Car Build Team Leaders and Supervisor at the factory, and by the Chief Mechanic trackside.
- Build all assemblies to the exact specification defined by the Engineering departments.
- Critically assess components during assembly and disassembly, verifying structural integrity and reporting concerns immediately.
- Work to strict build deadlines so the car is prepared, signed off and ready for each session across the race weekend.
- Accurately record build data, component usage and lifing information for full traceability.
Qualifications and experience
- Proven trackside experience within a high-performance motorsport environment, ideally F1, F2 or F3.
- Demonstrated experience providing critical preparation and operational support for race and test programmes.
- Familiarity with lifing and issue management systems; ERP and manufacturing execution systems an advantage.
- Ideally, participation within a pit stop crew environment.
