Composite Materials Finishing Operative

We are looking for a Trim department operative who will handle the finishing of Formula 1 car components in carbon fibre through trimming and bonding, meeting the high quality standards required and following what is shown on drawings from the technical office.

Finishing activities

• Carry out and respect the assigned work programme, and comply with the department’s production standards.
• Correct use of process materials and tools, and of equipment, specifications and drawings for component production.
• Produce components that match drawings and production specifications.

What we need from you

• Previous experience in the role.
• In-depth expertise using carbon fibre cutting and drilling tools (routers, drills, end mills, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of the composite materials production process, particularly trimming and bonding stages.
• Knowledge of abrasive paste and silicone usage, and ability to install commercial inserts (keen-serts, rivets, helicoils) on carbon components.
• Ability to read 2D drawings and use measuring instruments (calipers, comparators); basic knowledge of English.
