Garage and Infrastructure Technician

This role reports to the Freight and Logistics Infrastructure Manager or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. When trackside, this position reports to the Race Team Operations Manager. The role supports day-to-day operations, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Construct and maintain the garage infrastructure system to the standard expected by the team.
• Help with loading and unloading of Air Freight and Road Freight trucks.
• Service, maintain, build, test and repair the team’s sea freight kits before packing them up for each race weekend.
• Take on support roles during race weekends and at the factory in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain all pit equipment in accordance with schedules and presentation standards.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of your work area, the garage, and all tools and equipment both at factory and trackside.

What you’ll bring

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with insulation and mechanical projects, and repairs to equipment.
• Experience in a professional motorsport environment or other high-pressured industry is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose equipment faults and create solutions to resolve them.
• Comfortable with extensive travel and irregular working hours, including weekends and race days.
• A valid Category B driving licence.

Due to the nature of the organisation, employees are required to be security cleared to National Security Vetting standards; as a guideline, this normally requires 5 consecutive years of UK residency, or an Overseas Criminal Records Check where that isn’t the case.
