Indirect Procurement Business Partner

We are looking for an Indirect Procurement Business Partner/Buyer to provide commercial and category expertise to the business, facilitating best-value procurement to time, cost and quality imperatives. You will consult and influence internal and external stakeholders, support the development and execution of sourcing strategies, and manage supplier relationships to optimise performance.

Main duties

• Category management: oversee the procurement process across Indirect Procurement, including R&D, Facilities and Wind Tunnel.
• Strategic sourcing: develop and implement strategies to achieve cost savings, mitigate risk and improve supplier performance.
• Supplier relationship management: build strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with contractual, quality and performance standards.
• Contract management: negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favourable terms and ongoing value.
• Stakeholder collaboration: align procurement activity with business goals and promote the value of the function.
• Process improvement & data analysis: enhance transparency and efficiency, and report on KPIs to inform decisions.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field; MCIPS desirable.
• Minimum three years’ experience in Indirect Procurement or Indirect Buying, ideally across Facilities, Manufacturing or R&D categories.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• In-depth understanding of indirect procurement, including market trends, cost drivers and best practices.
