Pattern Shop Machinist (Nights)

At Williams Racing, every component matters and every micron counts. We’re looking for a skilled Pattern Shop Machinist to join our Manufacturing team, machining high-precision patterns, jigs and carbon composite components on advanced 3- and 5-axis machining centres to support the development and production of our race cars.

What you’ll be doing

• Setting, operating and optimising 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• Machining patterns, jigs and carbon components to engineering drawings and specification.
• Carrying out self-inspection activities to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborating with manufacturing, inspection and technical teams to resolve machining challenges.
• Maintaining accurate work order and production data and ensuring effective shift handovers.
• Contributing ideas that improve quality, efficiency and manufacturing performance.

This role operates on a night shift, Monday to Thursday, 18:15–04:45.

What we’re looking for

• A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
• A strong understanding of engineering materials and machining processes.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team.
