People Business Partner – Technical

The People Business Partner is a strategic advisor to business-area leadership, accountable for driving the Williams People Strategy and shaping an elite, high-performance culture aligned to our values and behaviours. Partnering closely with business-area leaders and the wider People function, the PBP translates business-area goals into customer-focused People strategies and executable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop management capability using the Williams Values & Behaviours framework to strengthen a high-performance culture.
• Advise, coach and empower managers and employees to drive engagement action plans.
• Identify skills and capability gaps and partner with Finance and Early Careers on effective workforce planning.
• Support talent review, capability development and succession planning, engaging with Talent & Leadership on training needs.
• Use people analytics and cost-cap awareness to anticipate talent risks and guide organisation-design decisions.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on talent mapping and a healthy resourcing pipeline.
• Support key people processes — end-of-year reviews, OKR creation and salary review — and partner with the ER team on cases.

What you’ll bring

• Previous HRBP experience, ideally in a high-performance technical/manufacturing organisation.
• A proven track record delivering People initiatives in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Demonstrated experience using analytics to drive people and business decisions.
• Strong coaching, influencing and relationship-building skills, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
