The Quality Manager will drive a culture of quality across the organisation, leveraging quality planning tools and problem-solving techniques. Supporting and leading the Quality team, they ensure upfront quality planning and root-cause-analysis initiatives are delivered, embedding a right-first-time mindset.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and track the status of quality incidents, investigations and resolutions.
  • Manage and track procedural use, audits and compliance.
  • Propose and discuss quality role selection and acquisition with Heads of Departments.
  • Continuously develop company-wide quality awareness and create company-specific training concepts.
  • Break down business targets into quality targets and own the team’s KPIs.
  • Derive strategic quality initiatives in line with the corporate vision and coordinate the quality organisation across the business.
  • Train and develop Quality Engineers; coach and consult the Senior Leadership Team, including monthly quality meetings.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience in a high-performance, fast-paced manufacturing/production environment, ideally low-volume high-precision or R&D.
  • Previous experience leading a multi-level team with direct reports.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies.
  • A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience of ISO and 8D problem solving is desirable.
