Senior Aerodynamicist

Lead and contribute to all aspects of aerodynamic development — concept definition, CFD and wind-tunnel testing, and analysis — to maximise the race car’s aerodynamic performance.

Your mission

• Work closely with other aerodynamicists within an Aerodynamics Development team.
• Lead significant aerodynamic development activities contributing to race-car performance.
• Develop innovative aerodynamic concepts within current Formula 1 regulations.
• Analyse and interpret CFD, wind-tunnel and track data to define and support development direction.
• Drive improvements in correlation between CFD, wind tunnel and track performance.
• Own major aerodynamic development projects from concept definition through to validation.
• Support wind-tunnel testing when required, including night-shift coverage.
• Mentor and support less experienced aerodynamicists and contribute to the group’s technical direction.

Your profile

• Strong academic background in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics (MSc preferred), ideally in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
• Significant aerodynamic-development experience in Formula 1 or another high-level motorsport category.
• Strong experience with CFD, wind-tunnel testing and aerodynamic data-analysis tools.
• Experience leading aerodynamic projects and mentoring engineers in a high-performance environment.
• Performance-oriented, resilient and able to perform under pressure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical-judgement and decision-making skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
