Stores Operator (FTC 5 months)

This role reports to the Stores & Inventory Manager or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. The fixed-term nature of the position reflects a temporary increase in workload within the Stores function during the intensive car build period ahead of the upcoming F1 season — parts receipt, inventory management, kitting and logistics coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to events when required to work under the direction of the Stores & Inventory Manager, guaranteeing a professional parts service.
• Work with stores, logistics, procurement and parts coordinators to keep an auditable and accurate stores department, with accurate receipting and picking.
• Receive parts through goods-in, ensuring delivery notes, purchase orders and physical quantities are aligned, and that ERP data entry is complete and correct.
• Understand technical drawings to match physical product against the delivery note.
• Ensure part marking and serialization meets company standards, and support full traceability within the ERP and Lifing systems.
• Pick against demand to fulfil requirements within stores, flagging items not located, and support loading/unloading of freight requirements.

What you’ll bring

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or motorsport environment (preferably Formula 1).
• A valid driver’s licence and eligibility to meet liability/casualty insurance requirements.
• Good computer skills, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel, Power BI, Outlook and Teams.
• Good knowledge of race car parts and assemblies, including vendors, part functions, serialization and part numbers.
• A forklift licence is preferable; leadership experience is a plus.
